World Book Kids, one of the resources available through World Book, is great for ages 6-10. This go-to resource is chock-full of fun activities, hands-on science projects, and age-appropriate articles, and offers image-based navigation to help young learners find information quickly and develop necessary digital literacy skills.
World Book offers a number of accommodation tools in World Book Kids, including
- a built-in Double-click Dictionary for in-article definitions
- Read-aloud with options for faster or slower, as well as a variety of narrators
- a Translation Tool option to translate any article into one of over 100 languages
Statistics & Titles
The OPLIN Database Usage Reporting Tool uses automation to pull usage numbers directly from the vendors' sites, and presents the most useful numbers (generally “searches” and “items”) in a consistent interface.
