As you may know, E-rate is undergoing significant changes this year, so OPLIN, the State Library, the regional library systems and OLC have worked together to make a significantly increased number of E-rate workshops available. All workshops are free of charge.

Who should attend?

Depending on your library's organizational structure, your director or fiscal officer should attend. In addition, if your library is considering updating your wireless you may want an IT staff member to attend so that he/she will know which components are eligible for E-rate discounts.

What will these workshops entail?

In each workshop Lorrie Germann, State E-rate Coordinator, will cover changes to E-rate and a line by line review of the Form 470. From 9am-12pm,  she will provide an overview of the E-rate process and upcoming changes for this funding year. From 12pm-1pm there will be a lunch break. From 1pm-3pm there will be a line-by-line review of Form 470, the first step in the application process.

When are the trainings and how can I register?

Note that unlike previous years, we will not be using the videoconferencing system. Sessions are either in-person or via webinar. The trainings will take place on the following dates. Each of the trainings below will take place from 9am-3pm. Click on the link to register for the session:
